EVENT RIDERS INVITED TO THE MORVEN PARK EQUESTRIAN CENTER DURING
CROSS-COUNTRY SCHOOLING DAYS
LEESBURG, VIRGINIA (March 28, 2003) During the 2003 season, Event riders
will have two opportunities to school over several international-caliber
cross-country courses at the Morven Park Equestrian Center in Leesburg,
Virginia. The first cross-country schooling day is Wednesday, May 7,
2003 (rain date May 8) and the second is scheduled for Wednesday, August
13, 2003. The courses will be open for schooling from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00
p.m. on both dates, and the price is $50.00 per horse and rider
combination, or $30.00 for Pony Club members.
Courses that will be available during the Morven Park Cross-Country
Schooling Days are:
Preliminary and Intermediate courses (excludes fences in Vet
Field)
USEA-approved Training course
Baby Novice and Pre-Novice courses
Colonel Wimert Schooling course
Three water jumps
Large groups or those interested in riding after 2:00 p.m. are asked to
schedule an appointment.
Morven Park is a 1,200-acre historic landmark estate of Virginia
Governor Westmoreland Davis (1918-1922) in Loudoun County, Virginia.
The Morven Park Equestrian Center is located just north of Leesburg on
Route 15. From Leesburg, take Route 15 North towards Frederick,
Maryland. Turn left onto Tutt Lane/Route 740. Follow Tutt Lane
approximately one mile to the center's entrance on the left, and then
follow the signs to the designated parking areas. For more information
