Morven Park in Leesburg, Virginia is pleased to be open on August 21 for a
special day to honor Governor Westmoreland Davis on his 142nd birthday.
Governor Davis was governor of Virginia from 1918-1922 and used Morven Park
as his primary residence from 1903 until his death in 1942. His wife,
Marguarite, upon her death in 1963, founded the Westmoreland Davis Memorial
Foundation to honor his legacy and oversee the property.
On August 21 from 1PM - 4PM, the property will be open for free to Loudoun
County residents who wish to tour the Mansion, Museum of Hounds and Hunting
and the Winmill Carriage Collection. The guided tours are at 1PM, 2PM, 3PM
and 4PM.
