Morven Park is seeking a detail minded self-starter with previous athletic event management experience and proven exemplary customer service skills to join our team.

The Athletic Field Complex Manager at Morven Park creates, plans, promotes, and implements various sports programs, such as leagues, tournaments, and special events within the Athletic Field Complex. It is also the responsibility of the Athletic Field Complex Manager to prospect and cultivate new user groups, as well as maintain and develop valued relationships with the current clientele that rent and utilize the facility. Daily operations and continued facility development are also supervised by the Athletic Field Complex Manager in partnership with the Director of Building and Grounds.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

• Plan, coordinate and direct daily operations and branded programs
• Ensure consistent, high quality customer service is provided to all clientele
• Conduct frequent inspections of facilities to assure readiness for events
• Formulate, enforce, and recommend policies and procedures governing the operation of the complex
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee all pre-event set ups and post-event tear down
• Act as event manager for all branded athletic field programs
• Act as site manager for all complex rentals
• Participate in strategic decision making for all facility operations and attend site operations and planning meetings
• Promote, evaluate, and improve services
• Resolve complaints and facilitate problem solving and satisfaction through continual interface with clientele
• Work with Marketing and Development to develop and implement appropriate marketing and promotional initiatives to maximize visibility of the complex and branded programs to maximize revenue while maintaining quality
• Prepare and manage to financial budgets and forecasts
• Profitably grow the business
• Supports Morven Park non-athletic complex programming when needed

Required experience:

• Demonstrated experience working with the general public and clientele in an athletic environment
• Demonstrated experience working with personal computers including working knowledge of databases and spreadsheets
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to work evening and weekend hours
• Demonstrated experience managing events and projects

Preferred experience:

• Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years working in an athletic department or athletic event management position
