Marketing Coordinator – Morven Park Marketing & Development Office
Full-time, non-exempt position
Reports to the Director of Advancement
Start date: Immediate
Salary range: $32-35k

The Marketing & Development office builds and promotes the Morven Park brand in order to successfully promote the Park as a premier historic, wedding, corporate, educational, athletic and equestrian venue and to create branded materials with consistent attention to the fundraising needs of the organization.

The Marketing Office seeks a skilled, highly organized Marketing Coordinator. This position works closely with the Event Coordinator, Sponsorship Coordinator and program directors to promote the interests of the Park in print and online on a daily basis. The ideal candidate has experience with media relations, especially social media messaging and account management, print project management, and is familiar with a nonprofit fundraising environment.

Marketing Duties

  • Responsible for the social media calendar, content and posting.
  • Responsible for the blog calendar and posting.
  • Manages e-newsletters and e-blasts, calendar, content and posting.
  • Manages design and print requests (calendar, estimates and fulfillment).
  • Assists with development of Morven Park materials and ensures adherence branding guidelines and fundraising language.
  • Assists with fulfillment of sponsor/vendor agreements.
  • Maintains media contact list and writes/distribute press releases.
  • Assists with content development and updates for MorvenPark.org.
  • Monitor Marketing office email accounts and reply accordingly.
  • Attends Park events as necessary for social media postings, photography, staffing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Development Duties

  • Assists with donation appeals and campaigns (content development and data management).
  • Responsible for donor/donation reporting.
  • Responsible for donor/donation data entry, list management, etc.
  • Helps ensure that Morven Park materials contain an appropriate fundraising message.
  • Assists with online fundraising donor/donation management.
  • Assists with fundraising efforts on various social media platforms.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of experience REQUIRED;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) required;
  • Experience with Adobe Suite a plus;
  • Experience with Salesforce software a plus;
  • Database management and data entry experience a plus;
  • Demonstrated media relations experience required;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required;
  • Must have the ability to appropriately handle challenging situations and coordinate large groups of people with customer service in mind;
  • Must present self in a professional manner to interact with clients, corporate partners and park visitors;
  • Ideal candidate will be a details-minded, energetic self-starter;
  • Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working to meet deadlines;
  • Strong ability to work well with co-workers and supervisors both within and across departments;
  • Must demonstrate consistent and punctual attendance;
  • Exemplary and proven customer service skills required;
  • Employee will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees and may include exposure to weather conditions including extreme temperatures;
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/down stairs. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 35 pounds;
  • Must have a flexible schedule that allows for the possibility of working evenings, weekends and holidays.

Buildings & Grounds Crew Member – Morven Park Buildings & Grounds Full-time, hourly position
Reports to the Buildings & Grounds Manager
Start date: Immediate
Salary range: $40K

The Buildings & Grounds Department maintains Morven Park’s 1000-acre historic estate and horse park, and supports quality delivery of the Park’s equestrian, athletic, historic, wedding, corporate, and educational programs and rental activities.

The Morven Park Buildings and Grounds crew is seeking a details-minded self-starter with previous buildings & grounds maintenance experience and proven exemplary customer service skills to join our team.

Duties

  • Work with the Morven Park team to maximize venue utilization while maintaining high standards of appearance, safety and suitability;
  • Maintenance and repairs to park facilities, picnic areas, walkways, roadways, fencing, signs, gutters, downspouts and other amenities
  • Removal of refuse, yard debris, ice, snow and other solid waste materials
  • Landscape maintenance to include mowing, seeding edging, mulching and placement of sod;
  • Mixes and pours concrete;
  • Operates various types of trucks and farm equipment including dump trucks, skid steers and backhoes;
  • Loads and unloads trucks and trailers;
  • Moves heavy equipment, objects and materials;
  • Performs routine building maintenance tasks (i.e. replacing HVAC filters, replacing light bulbs, repairing drywall, moving furniture);
  • Performs minor equipment repair and maintenance;
  • Assist in maintaining historic and modern building and grounds in top condition;
  • Engages in safe working practices and complies with all safety programs, guidelines and competencies;
  • Reports unsafe working conditions;
  • Maintains a high standard of safety and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of construction and maintenance of asphalt and concrete;
  • Working knowledge of small equipment to include weed eater, zero-turn mowers, power tamper, chain saw, snow blower, gas generators, etc.;
  • Basic knowledge of air compressors and pneumatic tools;
  • Knowledge of and ability to use and perform basic scheduled maintenance on various types of hand tools and machinery;
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and applicable safety practices
  • Ability to perform duties requiring manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude;
  • Ability to operate various types of motor vehicles and farm equipment;
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions;
  • Ability to work outside with regular exposure to severe weather, high levels of dust, noxious fumes; etc.;
  • Ability to perform medium to heavy manual labor
  • Ability to comprehend and comply to safety practices including chemical labels and material safety data sheets;
  • Experience in buildings & grounds operations
  • Familiarity with computers and MS Outlook
  • Have a valid driver’s license, be able to drive and pass the driving record background check
  • Must have the ability to appropriately handle challenging situations with customer service in mind;
