Morven Park hosting a free Learn To Play Clinic
with the USA Ultimate National Teams

Leesburg, VA – On Saturday, May 28 the USA Ultimate National Teams will be at Morven Park in Leesburg, VA from 1:00-5:00pm for a team practice and player meet and greet. A Learn To Play clinic will be held from 2:00-4:00pm.

Kids ages 8-16 are invited to attend and may also register on-site after completing a waiver and medical authorization form. The USA Ultimate National Teams practice will be held from 1:00-5:00pm and is open to the public.

Combining the non-stop movement and athletic endurance of soccer with the aerial passing skills of football, a game of ultimate is played by two teams with a flying disc on a field with end zones, similar to football. The object of the game is to score by catching a pass in the opponent’s end zone.
The USA Ultimate National Teams for Men’s, Mixed and Women’s will be coming together to practice as a team at Morven Park in Leesburg, VA in preparation for the 2016 World Ultimate and Guts Championships (WUGC) occurring June 18-25 in London. The last WUGC was held in Sakai, Osaka region, Japan, which hosted 1,400 athletes across 65 teams from 23 nations in five divisions of Ultimate and one of Guts Frisbee.

Morven Park, located just outside Leesburg, Va., was once the home of Westmoreland Davis, governor of Virginia from 1918-1922. This 1,000-acre oasis in Northern Virginia attracts about 100,000 people each year, enticed by the site’s exquisite scenery, historic gardens, sports fields, museum collections and hiking trails.
