Legend
of "Gray Ghost" to Live Again at Morven Park
In 1862, the Union Army occupied Leesburg. To help combat the
federal invasion of Northern Virginia, Civil War Confederate
cavalry genius John Singleton Mosby became the legendary "Gray
Ghost." The history of Mosby's "hit and run"
guerilla tactics will live again at Morven Park with a two-hour
lantern-lit program.

new, annual event opened at Morven Park with the inaugural America's
Cup of Polo match. Spectators from near and far gathered to

Comes to Historic Morven Park
Shakespeare's
Henry V will be performed in the gardens of Historic Morven
Park this summer by the Not Just Shakespeare theatre group.
This will
be their ninth full-length Shakespeare production, and marks
the first time that Not Just Shakespeare makes an appearance

Theatre to present the Classic Musical, State Fair
Morven Park
and Loudoun-based performing arts company, Fun Theatre, are
teaming up to present an outdoor production of the Rodgers &
Hammerstein classic musical, State Fair. Morven Park

The artwork of American
painter Richard Newton Jr., will be showcased at Morven Park from
May 26 to September 15, 2002. Mr. Newton, who was also the First

the characteristics of his subjects.

Olympic athletes now triumphantly return to compete once again.

Hopefuls Converge on Morven Park for Training and Spring Horse
Trials
The United States
Equestrian Team arrives at Morven Park on Sunday, March 26, for
the team's final winter training session, one of the last opportunities
to make an impression and earn a chance to represent the US at
the Olympics. "Most everybody has Sydney in the back of their
minds," said Captain Mark Phillips, internationally known
equestrian and Chef d' Equipe and Coach of the United States Olympic
Equestrian Team. " The chance to ride and represent your country
in an Olympic Games is the ultimate sporting experience, only
surpassed by winning a medal, preferably gold," he said.
