Morven Park Schooling Rules
- Morven Park International Equestrian Center is available for schooling dependent on weather conditions and scheduled activities.
- We are NOT open for schooling on weekends. We will have specified evening hours available during the winter - check the calendar for details.
- Fees: $20/ ring school, $30/ Wimert Cross-Country school
- A minimum 24 hour advance reservation is required. Do not leave requests on the voice mail. Call 703-777-2890 during business hours (Monday - Friday: 9 am - 5 pm) to make your reservation.
- All persons schooling must check in at the office before unloading..
- All horses must have a current Negative Coggins test. Bring a copy of the test with you. Horses without a current Negative Coggins test will not be permitted on the grounds.
- All persons must sign a release form or have one on file in the office. Release forms are valid for the current calendar year.
- Schooling is limited to the rings (indoor and outdoor), D Barn Field, and the Wimert Cross Country Schooling Course (weather permitting). Riders are strictly prohibited from riding in other areas of the park.
- Carriage driving is limited to the Equestrian Center grounds and is prohibited in Morven Park's historical district and on the race course.See the Equestrian Events Staff for details and a map before driving.
- All persons, whether on a horse or in a carriage, must wear hard hats.
- Please put away all jumps. Turn off all lights when done.
- A grounds person must accompany all riders.
- All dogs must be leashed. This is a Loudoun County Law.
- Unauthorized persons will be asked to leave and will lose any future ring use privileges.
- Morven Park and the Equestrian Center are privately owned and operated. Facility rules are strictly enforced.
- Courses open for schooling from 8 am to 2 pm (By appointment only after 2 pm). For inclement weather, check the website or call 703-777-2890 (events line) prior to coming.
- $50/per horse/rider combination - NO EXCEPTIONS!!
- $30 for Pony Club members - please designate which Pony Club. This does NOT include members of the Pony Clubber's family.
- Courses open for schooling are:
o Intermediate and Preliminary fences (excluding fences in the vet field)
o USEA approved Training Course
o Baby Novice and Pre-Novice Courses
o Col. Wimert Schooling Course
o 3 water obstacles
o CCI* and Advanced Fences not open.
- ALL RIDERS AND GROUPS MUST BRING A GROUNDS PERSON.
- ALL PARTICIPANTS, including riders, grounds persons, and instructors, must sign a Morven Park International Equestrian Center Hold Harmless Form.
- All horses must come with a current Negative Coggins test in order to participate.
- Hard hats with safety harness are required.
- Large groups are asked to please schedule an appointment.
