Virginia at War: Being Governor during WWI -- A Morven Park Specialty Tour

Westmoreland Davis, owner of Morven Park, was Virginia’s home-front Governor during the Great War. Governor Davis and First Lady of Virginia Marguerite Davis contributed to the war effort and inspired others to do the same. Learn more about their roles during this unprecedented conflict, their work to encourage Virginians to support the war effort, and their response to the declaration of peace. Highlighting WWI artifacts in the collection alongside new stories, this engaging experience in honor of the WWI centennial will get you thinking like the Governor!
75-Minute Tours offered at 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m.
Tickets are $20/public & $10/Park Members

Governor Westmoreland Davis and First Lady Marguerite Davis served the Commonwealth of Virginia from 1918-1922. Come visit their private residence on this special day to learn more about WWI, a global conflict that ended 100 years ago this weekend. Explore the Davis Mansion at your own pace and enjoy half-off our regular admission price!
Noon - 5:00 p.m., with rolling admission.
Adults $5, Children $3, and Veterans FREE.
