Youth Leadership Opportunities

Active citizenship goes beyond the ballot box. The Center for Civic Impact’s youth leadership opportunities provide you with the support you need to take direct action to address the issues you are passionate about. We believe that you have the power to change the world around you and we will show you how to do it. What will your impact be?


Youth Leadership Institute (Rising 9th - 12th graders)
Time: August 8 - 10, 2017 / 9am to 3pm daily
Location: Morven Park

Youth Leadership Retreat (Rising 7th and 8th graders)
Time: July 25 - 27, 2017 / 9am to 3pm daily
Location: Morven Park

Want to learn how YOU can make a difference? Apply to the Morven Park Center for Civic Impact Youth Leadership Retreat and develop your leadership skills and leading real change within your community. Application deadline extended to June 17th!

Leadership & Legislation Trip (9th - 12th grade)
Time: February 6, 2017 / 7:30am to 6:00pm
Location: Richmond, VA

This annual youth leadership trip to Richmond, Va., provides students with a unique opportunity to learn about their state government and see where and how they can make their impact. Students tour the State Capitol building, meet with their representatives and sit in on a session of the Virginia General Assembly. This program is part of a collaboration with Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Service’s Youth Advisory Council.
