nored to be one of only six Virginia sites selected to host the Smithsonia
n’s Crossroads: Change in Rural America exhibit. Opening on April 22 in Mo
rven Park’s Winmill Carriage Museum\, the exhibit explores the changes tha
t affected rural communities\, such as those in Loudoun County\, during th
e past 100 years. The engaging\, interactive exhibit invites visitors to c
onsider the various forces that transformed life in rural America. \n\nThi
s FREE exhibit will be open Fridays through Mondays\, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p

ansformed from a modest fieldstone house into the impressive Greek Revival
building we see today. From 1903 – 1942\, the mansion was home to Westmor
eland and Marguerite Davis. During their residency\, Marguerite Davis fill
ed her home with eclectic and opulent antiques from her world-wide travels
. The Davis furnishings\, which include 16th century Belgian tapestries\,
Spanish cassones\, hundreds of silver pieces\, Hudson River Valley paintin
gs\, and Asian treasures\, remain on display throughout the mansion.\n\nGu
ests touring the Davis Mansion will hear stories of the civic and social l
