Registration Opens for Morven Park’s Annual Black Friday Bowl
LEESBURG, VA – Registration is now open for Morven Park’s annual Black Friday Bowl, the popular flag football tournament held the day after Thanksgiving. For more information and to register online, visit www.MorvenParkSports.org.
Morven Park boasts 20 acres of superbly maintained playing fields and hosts thousands of athletes each year. As one of the largest sports complexes in Northern Virginia, Morven Park provides top-quality surfaces, player amenities, and spectator experiences for flag football, soccer, rugby, ultimate frisbee, lacrosse, field hockey, and cross-country running.
This will be Morven Park’s fourth year hosting the Black Friday Bowl, which has grown from 60 players in 2013 to over 300 players and spectators last year. Registration for adult, high school, middle school and elementary school divisions is open to teams and individual players. Games will be played using modified 5v5 non-contact NFL Flag rules. Three games are guaranteed for each team, with trophies and prizes awarded to division winners. Register online at www.MorvenParkSports.org by Nov. 18 to take part in this year’s competition, which will take place on Nov. 25 and begins at 9 a.m.
As an added bonus, after Black Friday Bowl tournament play concludes, the athletic fields will be available for family game time. This is the perfect opportunity to gather everyone together, take a break from holiday shopping, get moving, and settle some of those family rivalries.
