CANCELLED - Polo in the Park
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis, the 2020 season of Morven Park’s Polo in the Park has been canceled.
Park staff worked diligently to prepare for the season, but information provided by state, regional, and local officials led to the decision to cancel. The “Safer at Home: Phase Three” guidelines recently issued by the Governor’s Office limited the feasibility of a large, spectator-friendly event like Polo in the Park. Additionally, Morven Park’s strong commitment to the health and safety of Park guests and staff helped shaped the decision to cancel.
“This was a heart-breaking decision to make, but I know we made the right call for the fans, the players, and the community,” said Morven Park Executive Director, Sheryl Williams.
Morven Park wishes to thank the 2020 Polo in the Park GOLD sponsors, AMJ Financial, Climatic Heating & Cooling, Lauten Design and Construction, and Salesforce, who stepped up and provided their support during these difficult times. Additional supporters include Merritt Properties, LLC; USPA Global Licensing Inc.; Total Equine Veterinary Associates, PC; B&D Builders; SmartPak; Sandy Spring Bank; Destination Polo; Middleburg Life; Loudoun County Economic Development; Visit Loudoun; Yount, Hyde & Barbour, PC; NetJets Inc.; King Street Oyster Bar, and Hunt Country Events.
We look forward to welcoming our sponsors and fans back to Polo in the Park next year! For additional information, visit PoloInThePark.org. Questions? Send an email to Polo@MorvenPark.org.
