Waystation Weeding on Turkey Hill at Morven Park
In May Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy planted a huge Monarch waystation on Turkey Hill at Morven Park. Thanks go out to our amazing group of volunteers who braved the rocky soil and mud to get these plants planted. In order to help our planting thrive, we are having a weeding session! Removal of weeds is a very important part of our habitat restoration efforts, and is also a good chance to see how the plants are coming along. Additionally, you can visit the turkeys that the President pardoned on Thanksgiving! Bring gardening gloves, water, and weed removal tools if you have them. To get to Morven please use 17263 Southern Planter Lane Leesburg, VA 20176 in your GPS. You can park in the small parking area near the Coach House or in the main parking area.
